Two Credence Global Health Leaders Chosen for WomenLift Health Program

March 10, 2023 — Credence is proud to share that two of our global health experts, Joy Kamunyori and Sherri Haas, have been chosen for the WomenLift Health 2023 North America Leadership Journey. This highly selective year-long program was created to support and guide emerging women leaders in global health.

Both women support the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through Team Credence’s Global Health Training, Advisory, and Support Contract (GHTASC).

Ms. Kamunyori serves as a senior health information systems advisor with the Office of HIV/AIDS. She has more than a decade of experience assessing, developing, and implementing public health IT systems in sub-Saharan African countries.

Ms. Haas serves as a senior digital health systems advisor within the Bureau for Global Health’s Office of Health Systems. Her experience spans program development and leadership, digital health and digital financial services for health systems strengthening, and research design and implementation.

With WomenLift Health, Ms. Kamunyori and Ms. Haas will each pursue a year-long project focused on the intersection of health equity and gender equality. Ms. Haas plans to pursue a topic within her professional area of expertise. “I look forward to engaging with colleagues across USAID to support centering gender equity within digital health for health systems strengthening efforts,” she said.

Ms. Kamunyori plans to focus on her interest in mentoring programs for women in their global health careers. “Mentorship is something that is important to me, and I don’t think enough women advocate for themselves,” said Ms. Kamunyori.

“Through this work, we will be representing our extraordinary female colleagues,” said Ms. Kamunyori.  “And we look forward to coming together with more women who are making a difference in global health.”
