November 26, 2019 – Credence, under the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA’s) Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) hosting support contract, successfully completed the migration of the fifth application, Electronic Document Access (EDA), six weeks ahead of schedule. EDA is a web-based system that provides secure online access, storage, and retrieval of contracts, contract modifications, Government Bills of Lading (GBLs), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) transactions for vouchers, and Contract Deficiency Reports to authorized users throughout the Department of Defense (DoD).
The EDA program supports the goals to simplify and standardize the methods that the DoD uses to interact with commercial and Government suppliers in the acquisition of catalog, stock, and made-to-order and engineer-to-order goods and services initiatives. EDA provides the DFAS, DoD contracting officers, procurement officers, program and financial managers, and transportation officers with the ability to post, view, and process documents electronically, eliminating the need for paper copies. Credence, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), provisioned cloud computing resources to migrate EDA to the AWS GovCloud environment.
