Credence Awarded OASIS Unrestricted Task to Work with Youth to Create Innovative Prevention Methods Against Targeted Violence and Terrorism Under DHS’ Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Office for Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention

October 1, 2020 — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans (PLCY), Office for Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (OTVTP) awarded the Student Innovation Lab Program contract to Credence Management Solutions, LLC under OASIS Unrestricted Pool 1. The Student Innovation Program supports a scholastic team competition for high schools, colleges, and universities to drive innovation and interest in prevention of targeted violence and terrorism at the state and local level among a key cohort—youth. The program’s Student Innovation Labs are student-run and includes a semester-length learning curriculum centered on targeted violence and terrorism, the impact on civil society, the intersection with digital tools and platforms, and effective mechanisms to prevent the spread of terrorism and targeted violence using online campaigns or tools.
